updating your mans wardrobe
If your husbands are anything like Brad and Zach then they never buy anything for themselves and keep wearing the same things they have owned for years. We aren't saying they dress poorly by any means, but as they are about to be in their 30s we think its time they start updating their wardrobe with some nice investment pieces. As we work on finding these pieces (because obviously we shop for them), we thought why not make a whole blog post on this for all the other men and spouses shopping for those men out there.
Just like creating your own investment wardrobe, I would start by asking them what are the pieces they are constantly reaching for and what are their most worn out pieces. Finding a great basic they love and buying a nice version of that in multiple colors is great!
I would start with some great quality t-shirts like this Madewell Mens crewneck and some long sleeve henleys like these. A nice quality plain long sleeve like this will go a long way for layering.
Build basic outfits with capsule wardrobe pieces like these jeans and then plan on wearing the t-shirts as a base layer. We've been seeing a new trend lately, and I'm not sure what to call these pants. It is like a chino mixed with a jean and is the perfect casual pant. This Calvin Klein variety is on sale! If its cold and you want to add another layer I would add a plain button up flannel like this. (apparently these are called Chamois shirts)
Finish the outfit with a classic Chelsea boot like this with a wool jacket. This Carhartt Jacket is also such a classic.
For a more casual look, rather than keep wearing sweats from high school sporting days, Lululemon has some great pants like these and pair them with a Patagonia or LL Bean pullover that will last for years like this.
