London

Read part 1 of our trip here (featuring Paris!!)! Also, a little video of our entire trip is below :) enjoy!!

Paris was the best, so we were super excited to continue our journey! We took the Eurostar from Paris into London, which we highly recommend. The Eurostar was really clean, and only took us two hours of travel time to get there! Our first stop was obviously, our hotel. We stayed at the Park Plaza Riverbank Hotel, it was pretty nice and in a good location that was walking distance to a lot of London attractions. We then grabbed some food at a nearby pub, although if you ask Brad, this is where his stomach issues came from (this is unconfirmed). We had to do a lot of activities right away because we didn't have that much time in London. We walked around a little bit and then decided to go to the London Eye. This was a really great to see the whole city from above! We walked to Buckingham palace, which I thought was gorgeous- we spent a majority of our time there trying to decide if the Queen was there or not (lol), turns out she wasn't (womp womp). We spent the evening walking around SoHo and headed to dinner at Byron Hamburgers. We found out later Byron Hamburgers is a chain in London, but the food was amazing (if they came to Columbus, I wouldn't be mad). That night we decided we HADDDDD to come up with a game plan for day 2 (yes, we travelled without any real plan-- we're rookies).

We made a game plan of what we wanted to do Day 2 which included going to Windsor Castle (where Megan and Harry got married) butttt Brad messed up and mapped it all wrong and it was an hour away from our hotel so, we decided to go to Kensington Palace instead. We bought tickets and went into Kensington which was really pretty. I was so happy because they had a Princess Diana fashion exhibit where we could see a lot of her most beautiful pieces. They were honestly gorgeous, what a classy lady (we were actually there on her birthday)! After that we walked around Kensington Gardens before deciding to take a taxi over to Tower Bridge/ the Tower of London. No, these places are NOT close-- so much for our day 2 plan. Also, I HIGHLY recommend taking taxis in London not only are they adorable and clean but the drivers know so much and it was like our own personal tour guide. We later went to The British Museum which is completely free (unless you make a donation)- they had some really cool things inside, like mummies, and different currencies but it was a bajillion degrees (no A/C-- I'm spoiled) so prepare yourself for an intense sweat if you decide to venture there! We wanted a chill evening (Brad was still having stomach issues and I was just exhausted)- per a suggestion of a family-friend we headed to Gordons Wine Bar which was an adorable wine bar with great outdoor seating before heading to a nearby Italian restaurant.

Our last day in London was spent at Wimbledon! This was amazing and honestly my favorite part of our London trip! If you ever have an opportunity to go, do it-- don't even think twice! I find tennis rules the most confusing, mostly because there are SOOOOO many things to know, so I spent the first match googling rules... no shame! We got seats on court 1, if you didn't know there are about 18 courts at Wimbledon, Centre Court and Court 1 are the biggest and have the more "popular" matches! We got lucky and got to see Serena Williams play and win!

We had a great time on our European trip, and can't wait for the next adventure! :) Don't forget to check out our video!!
