workwear round up
Fun fact, I just changed jobs a couple weeks ago! I work for a rep in the foodservice industry, which means we sell fun stuff like blenders and glassware to end users like the Piada Group and Brio in Columbus and across seven states. With this new job, I have a business casual dress code that only allows jeans on Fridays. I was used to jeans everyday! Since this is an adjustment for my wardrobe, I thought why not chronicle it on the blog in case some one else reading this is struggling to find cute work clothes.
Make sure to start your wardrobe off with some basics. I can survive the whole work week with these dress pants, these jeans, a couple of these camis and a blazer or two like this. And you'll see below but I have about every color in the Express Porofino shirts. Here's an example of what I wore last week with my pieces linked below.
Monday:
white top // dress pants // sandals // necklace
Tuesday:
Zara suede blazer (similar) // striped shirt
Wednesday:
Thursday:
Casual Friday:
orange top // jeans // belt // loafers
Sorry for the lack of picture quality! These are taken at 7:55am and I have to be at work by 8. Taken either by Zach if he's up or a selfie :)
My biggest tip for looking put together would be to always make sure you are accessorizing with a necklace if the top is plain, tucking in the front of all long shirts, and doing your hair and make up for work. Even if it is simply mascara and brows and pulling your hair back in a bun it makes all the difference.
