columbus summer bucket list
There are so many cool new things to do in Columbus we have decided to make a summer bucket list with everything we would love to do! We are both super busy this summer with weddings and trips but want to make time to spend some time with friends. Here is what we want to do!
Weekend Activities
Top Golf - technically the Columbus location is not open yet, but it should be really soon! Even if you don't golf, Top Golf is fun because you can sit in lounge chairs and order appetizer and drinks while watching. Each person is assigned a golf ball color and when you hit your ball, sensors in it will tell you how far it went, how fast, etc.
Zoombezi Bay - We are both huge fans of the Zoo and Sam got a zoo membership as one of her wedding gifts! We plan on going to Zoombezi bay several Sunday afternoons to check out the new Otter Bay and then head over to the zoo for free afterwards to explore.
Clippers / Columbus Crew Game - Dime a Dog night! We love going on a Monday night for dime a dog because it feels like a mini weekend date night in the middle of the week. You can get really cheap tickets and they make the games really fun. Or make this a fun weekend activity, get happy hour drinks in the arena district and then walk to the game!
Nightlight 614 - An outdoor film series complete with food trucks, beer and wine! They're showing awesome movies like Wedding Crashers, Pretty Women and The Breakfast Club.
Date night activities
Rooftop Bars: Vaso in Dublin and Juniper Downtown
Vaso (pictured below) is in Dublin in the new area near Pins and RAM Brewing Co. It has a great outdoor vibe with gastropub style drinks and delicious appetizers.
Juniper (below) is brand new and on top of the Dock 580 wedding venue. We are dying to go there!
Seventh Son Brewing - We have yet to go but are so excited to check out their patio and food trucks
Restaurants to try
New BruBurger in Westerville
Skillet for Sunday Brunch
Guild House for date night
Hadleys Bar + Kitchen
Viiza Columbus (pizza cones and light bulb drinks!!!)
Balboa
Grass Skirt Tiki Room (mostly for drinks, but the food looks amazing too!)
Cosecha Cocina
Philco Bar and Diner
Katalinas for Brunch
Short North Food Hall - This is a brand new concept to Columbus and located right next to Standard Hall. You basically can sit down at this giant oval bar and select which of the several restaurants located within the hall you want to eat at and they bring the food to you! So you could get Pho, while your friend gets tacos, all while getting drinks at the bar.
Sadly, we have been to none of these restaurant so we plan on slowly checking off this list during the summer! We'll update you along the way on insta stories so make sure you are following along @prettygirlparade on instagram.
