I love Megan Markle's style, what suggestions do you have to replicate it??
Karissa: One of my favorite Megan Markle looks is what she wore to The Invictus Games; I love it so much because it's casual and put together, it would also be super easy to replicate! Pair skinny jeans with a classic white button down like this, a leather bag like this, tortoise shades this, and brown flats like these! I also love her style because it is classic and feminine!
Sam: Megan is the queen of layering classic neutral pieces and for sure one of my style icons! She is also the master of power coats. To recreate her look I would invest in amazing dark skinny jeans like these, with a denim button up like this and the classic tan trench. If you invest and buy high quality basics like these, you'll find yourself reaching for them all the time. Some other amazing power coats are this one and this one. They can mix and match with so many outfits! I know its a bit hot out to be shopping for coats, but now is the time they are on sale!
What curling iron brands and sizes do you use? We are posting our curling tutorials tomorrow, Yay! Karissa uses this wand in the 1-inch size (similar to this) and Sam uses this clamp curling iron and this interchangeable wand.
Need a pool book, what are you currently reading?
Sam: To be honest, I'm currently reading this book for work, which I found to be quite amazing! Books on my list for the summer are The Wife Between Us and to re-read The Handmaids Tale. I read it back in high school but has anyone been watching the show lately? It is so thrilling!
Karissa: I'm Currently reading Colleen Hoover's It Ends With Us -it's our book club book for Sunday (I'm so late to the game lol). I finished Faithful by Alice Hoffman, and it was great and a quick read for the pool!
What summer pieces are you eyeing?
Karissa: I have purchased a few great summer pieces lately for our trip (obviously I'll share those to the blog)! But my wishlist is always super long (lol). I am eyeing these sandals, this button down dress, these scallop shorts, and this pocket tee dress!
Sam: Some pieces in my cart lately are this sleeveless sweater paired with these light wash shorts. I'm loving the great price point on these Target sandals! I've also been wanting to try these cute short overalls, apparently they are called shortalls haha.
I got a birthday gift card to Madewell, I don't usually shop there so I'm not sure what to buy- what suggestions do you have?
Karissa: Madewell has soooo many great options (the hardest part would be narrowing it down)! I love their whisper tees and tanks, they're perfect to wear all year long! I also am loving this pocket dress, and these sandals! Also, if you're up for the investment, I've heard great things about their denim although I have not yet taken the plunge!
Sam: The first thing I would do if I got a gift card to Madewell is try on their jeans! They are supposedly some of the best skinny jeans (the 9" high) and I have heard the best reviews. I would also make sure to get some classic shirts like this striped one and this white tee.
