table talk
Sam, what kind of facials have you had and what would you recommend?
I've had 3, a regular steam facial, a dermaplaning facial, and a hydra facial. I would honestly recommend going into to your esthetician and asking them what they think is best after looking at your skin. My favorite was the dermaplaning facial because they used a small razor-looking piece to gently graze my skin and take off all the dead cells. For two months after that my skin was brighter and completely cleared up. For the hydra facial, they used an electrode tool to really make my pores force soak in the serums they were putting on my face which was a combination of vitamin C and a hydrating serum.
If there is one thing you would suggest for a person that wants to get in more into makeup/doing their makeup better what would it be?
Karissa: I honestly watch so many YouTube videos and just practice on myself a ton. I wouldn't say I'm great at make-up but have definitely improved throughout the years. I love to go to places like Sephora and Beauty Brands and have them help me too-- they definitely have helped me to get into the correct kinds of foundation/application process that works best for my skin!
Sam: BROWS! I think making sure your brows are done correctly affects the entire way your face looks and makes your makeup look complete. Even though I naturally have blonde hair my eye brows are very dark. Thanks to over plucking in high school they are thin and half of what you normally see. I never leave the house without doing my brows! I use this brow pomade with this brush and just do little strokes upwards to fill in my natural brow.
I have a bunch of weddings this summer, I'm looking for a nude shoe that I can get away with multiple times, what do you guys suggest??
Sam: Me too! I am wearing this heel from Aldo to them all (I own in suede)! My one piece of advice would be to not buy cheap shoes. I have had this pair for 6 years and it is so comfortable I can last the whole evening in them. My trick is to tape the 3rd and 4th toe together with athletic tape. If you don't want a closed toe heel then I love these.
Karissa: I think the key to re-wearing shoes a lot is to make sure you get something comfortable! I bought these in black last summer and wore them ALL the time (and will wear them again this summer). They are a great height, easy to walk in and go with some many styles. J.Crew Factory sells a similar version here.
I'm looking for a white dress for graduation and can't seem to narrow it down, what white dresses do you guys like??
Karissa: I love something classic like this lace/scallop dress! This lace dress is also really pretty and could definitely be worn again in the summer! Have you seen the new Gal Meets Glam collection?? This white dress is gorgeous!
Sam: I think you should get something classy like this dress. I also love the cut on this dress and it is casual enough I would get more wear out of it in the summer.
