national stripes day
Can you believe there is a #NationalStripesDay? It seems like there is a national holiday for everything-- well National Stripes Day is a totally made up day by J.Crew, but I'm loving it! Wasn't Valentines Day just a made up Hallmark holiday- maybe we are on to something big? lol, juuuust kidding.
I would say a high percentage of my closet is made up of striped shirts- I LOVE them, and there are so many cute ones available right now! I am especially loving this one and this one! I would call my style preppy-ish.. on the preppier side but I'm not completely against all trends, this look on the other hand is definitely one of my preppiest! When I saw J.Crew had re-released their rugby polos I knew it was time to dust mine off- I've always loved a good rugby stripped polo!
Quick life update:
1. I got glasses- you can officially call me 4 eyes. Really, I didn't need them but driving at night and seeing a movie in theaters was rough times so I figured better now than never.
2. I haven't been able to eat crunchy foods for over 6 weeks. I had this terrible jaw pain flare up right before Valentines Day.. and basically the only thing I can do is eat mushy/soft food until it's healed. It's completely miserable, I just want to eat chips & guac again. I'm going to buy lots of Easter candy for when I can (hopefully) eat normal again.
3. I'm currently reading book 4/25 for my book goal this year (Gone Girl-- I'm lovin' it). I got pretty busy and behind, so if any one has any reallllly quick reads let ya girl know!
4. Currently in the over-whelming planning of our trip to Europe this summer. If you missed it, Bradley and I are headed to Paris/London. Our trip is pretty short and there is so much I want to see/do/buy/eat! My spreadsheet is intimidating to say the least.
5. We are still working on finishing our master bath, which currently has no power-- I don't want to get into that but home-ownership is definitely rough times. We are really almost done, and have been at the same stage since Christmas *face palm*
