Where would you recommend for a beach vacation?
Karissa: I loved Charleston, SC. We stayed on Isle of Palms in a house walking distance to the beach (with a pool) and it was perfect. Plus, we were like 20 minutes away from Charleston which was great for days that we were too sunburnt or it was raining. If you're looking for something a little more luxurious I would totally recommend Palm Beach, FL - Brad and I stayed at The Breakers, and it was beyond perfection - the pools over look the ocean and there are soooo many amenities.
Sam: Isle of Palms is one of my favorite vacation spots because there were so few people, yet so much to do on the island. Growing up we always went to Bald Head Island and it is amazing because you ferry out to the island and then only drive golf carts around. Cars are not allowed! It put you on island time and the whole inside of the island is a maritime forest with hundreds of deer and fox. We also saw sea turtles lay their eggs and another time we experienced a hatching and guided the baby turtles out into the water.
When did you start book club and what books have you read?
We started in January with a group of girlfriends and we meet every other month with wine, chocolate and snacks! Our first go-round we read Good Girl and loved it! This round we have started Dark Places by Gillian Flynn the same author as Gone Girl. Not super into the book so far but it is slowly picking up! Some books on our radar are All the Missing Girls, Big Little Lies, and The Couple Next Door.
Do you use a make-up setting spray? Which one?
Sam: I am obsessed with the Pixi line at Target and use this one which is actually called a glow mist. It literally makes your face glow and it works to keep my makeup from rubbing off. I am the type of person that always rests my face in my hands, which is horrible I know!
Karissa: I love make up setting sprays, especially if I need my face looking fresh extra long. I love this setting spray by Urban Decay. It's not a "setting spray" but lately I've been using this rosewater spray- it's very hydrating and gives your face a more "dewy" look, I also think it helps keep my make up looking good!
Looking for a good plain white tee - which do you guys like?
Sam: I currently own and love this Madewell v-neck. I soak mine in Oxi Clean to keep it white occasionally. Even though it is not plain white, I picked up this one at Old Navy this weekend. This one would be similar in all white!
