wine down wednesday
What are some must have items to add to your wedding registry? What are some regrets you have from your wedding registry?
Karissa: I think a registry must is a quality set of dishes! I love our classic white bone china that we use daily- but can also be "dressed up" for holidays or dinner parties. I don't really regret anything- I sometimes wish we would have registered at more than just Macy's (although they have the BEST registry perks!)
Sam: If you do not already own them I would put a large dutch oven on your registry and a set of cast iron pans. I use these both to cook regularly and you can easily transition from the stove to the oven for recipes. If you are not the type of person that wants fine china, I would register for something you love! I got this pottery set from Crate & Barrel and love it. My only registry regret would be that I added so many things to fill out the registry; if I did it again I would only add what we really wanted or needed.
Suggestions for styling cardigans in the winter?
Sam: Just like in the picture above, I like to wear a silk cami tucked in under my cardigans. I usually pair a long cardigan with heeled boots like these and short cardigan with slides. Some great cardigan pairing camis are here and here.
Karissa: I agree with Sam-- a silk cami is perfect under a cardigan. I also love just a plain long sleeve or button down underneath to layer when it's chilly! I love a good cardigan with jeans or leggings for running around down or heading to dinner.
Casual NYE outfit ideas that are not the little black dress?
Karissa: I think jeans and a cute tank like this with a leather jacket or a blazer with a cute pair of booties would be perfect!
Sam: I am also staying casual for NYE so I love this question! I think it is still fun to wear something sparkly or festive for the holiday even if you are not going to do the tiny sparkly dress route. I think something like this jacket with this cami and these booties would be amazing! Look inspiration here on Pinterest.
