the pumpkin show

The pumpkin show is an annual festival in my hometown that is kind of big deal to the locals. They bring in the heaviest pumpkins throughout the state and this year we broke a record with a pumpkin at over 1700 lbs. They shut down all the streets and bring in every kind of pumpkin food you can imagine! My parents live right outside the show so we mostly enjoy people watching on our front porch while drinking wine.

This year they displayed giant pumpkins as a hamburger and fries! They also have an artist come in to carve some of the giant pumpkins that didn't place in the weighing contest.
