I'm in a wedding next month and am looking for a pair of closed-toed heels that aren't too high, any suggestions?
Some of our favorite places to shop for shoes are Aldo and Sole Society. Aldo's shoes are so well made you won't even notice if they are high - we are loving these. Sole Society always has the best price points and some fabulous wedding options are here and here.
I'm in the market for a new hair straightener- which one do you use or like?
Karissa: I've had my Chi for a long time now.. it still works great and gives my hair shine! I haven't really tried other straighteners because I LOVE this one-- and if it "ain't broke, don't fix it", right?!
Sam: I rarely straighten my hair because it is so thin, my hair will just go flat. I do use my straightener all the time to sort of half curl or bend my hair like this for a tousled look. I use this cheap straightener because I do not need a lot of heat with my thin hair. I make sure to follow up with a texturizing spray like this.
What is your opinion on going off-registry for a bridal shower?
Karissa: Totally fine... depending on how well you know the person! I usually go off registry for my close friends and buy them something I think they will truly love... but if I am not too sure on the persons style/home vibes I'll stick to the registry!! (Also you can always mix registry and non-registry items)
Sam: I think the shower is the time to do it! I love getting the bride a personalized gift for her shower based on her style and then getting them something I know they really want off the registry for the wedding.
My boyfriend has a birthday coming up, boys are so hard to buy for- do you have any suggestions?
Karissa: Boys are the hardest to buy for. You can never have too many pull-overs we love this one or this one!
Sam: Based on my experience with Zach, I think it is best to get them something you KNOW they will use but they would not normally get themselves. I got him this Bose speaker last year and we both use it everyday. Love getting gifts I can also use ;) I also like to find unique watches to get him! In the past I have gotten him a wooden watch and a Fossil watch like this.
I'm currently trying to re-decorate my home- what throw blankets or throw pillows do you guys love?
Sam: I think this is the perfect time of the year to de-clutter and then refresh your home for fall by adding seasonal pillows and blankets! I love adding texture with a throw pillow like this or a leather pillow cover like this. Throw blankets like this knit one and this Pendleton one are perfect for this cooler weather!
Karissa: My dog has recently destroyed all my pillows and blankets.. womp womp. I'm really loving this blanket from Target (perfect for winter and fall). I also really love this blanket from Pottery Barn- love love love buffalo plaid for fall/winter.
