Karissa - What is your favorite drink to order at Starbucks and your favorite low calorie option?
This is a hard question because I'm usually always changing it up. My all-time favorite is the caramel-brulee latte that's out in the winter time (I love this more than a PSL or peppermint mocha). If I'm in need or serious amounts of caffeine I love the sweet cream vanilla cold brew-- so yummy and low in calories. I usually only get "fancy" drinks on special occasions and will just get a classic blonde roast or an iced coffee (with caramel flavoring and half & half).
Sam - What are you doing to prepare for your wedding? Are you on any special diet or getting any beauty treatments?
Sorry this will be a long one, I just love talking about this stuff. I'm not doing anything drastic or dieting before the wedding, Zach and I just decided to get more strict about what we usually do so here goes:
Health Wise
•10,000 steps on weekdays and 15,000 steps on the weekends as a goal
•Workout at least 4 days a week. I usually lift weights and run but lately, for wedding prep, I have been doing these HIIT guides. This is more for my mental well being and staying stress free than anything else and I love that it takes me less than 30 minutes
•Eat almost Whole 30 for dinner. We try to eat healthy dinners like turkey burgers with brown rice and a veggie and stay away from white carbs
•Eat and drink whatever you want on the weekends :)
Beauty Wise:
•Drink a gallon of water a day
•I usually never go to bed without my retinol, a serum and a moisturizer to lock it in
•Last week I got my first dermaplaning facial! It was quite the experience and my skin feels brighter and the acne scarring on my chin is diminishing. I'll get another right before the wedding
Do you have any recommendations for a fall lightweight jacket that can be dressed up or down?
Karissa: I've been wanting a denim jacket this season, it's so versatile- something like this or this. Also love olive green jackets like this and this!
Sam: I could honestly order all the coats that Abercrombie just released for fall - they are all amazing! I think some staple fall coats would be this pea coat, this olive green coat and this casual puff coat.
What are some of your top future travel destinations? Any big trips planned?
Sam: Both Zach and I have been to Europe but we are wanting to plan a trip to Italy in Florence and Rome and then rent a car to drive the Amalfi Coast. Our other big overseas destination-musts are Iceland and Scandanavia. In the meantime, we want to go to Denver or the New England area in the fall next year for our anniversary. We figured after 2 beach trips this year, next year we are ready for skiing, hiking, and lake trips.
Karissa: As of right now we do not have any trips planned. Neither Bradley or myself have been to Europe so we would LOVE to go.. Italy, France, and England are our top choices. We are currently trying to decide/plan where to go next summer we are thinking Mexico, the Caribbean or Hawaii but definitely thinking Europe too.. yes, we are super all over the place- hopefully we make a decision soon!
Where are your favorite places to shop for clothing?
Karissa: I have the hardest time shopping online-- I am pretty tall and lanky so things never fit me like I want them to. I have recently been obsessed with Abercrombie- I love their jeans and tops! I also love shopping at Von Maur- it's so nice there and they have the best sale racks! And depending on what I'm shopping for I love J.Crew, Express, and Francescas. Also, I've browsing online at Aerie and need to go in store- their sweaters and lounge-wear are too cute.
Sam: Recently I have been gravitating towards Nordstrom because it is so easy to ship and return for free. I'm not a big in store shopper so I love to just order several things and return the half that does not fit. Unless I love everything, then I have a problem on my hands! Heading into fall I love Express for jeans and sweaters, Abercrombie for sweaters and coats and Madewell for classic pieces that I want to last. Dying for these mules (they also come in velvet) and this cardigan.
