lash tint & lift review
I first heard of a lash tint and lift through another blogger I follow, Brooklyn Blonde. I had no idea a procedure out there existed to make your lashes look any different other than lash extensions. I knew I did not want extensions as they are hundreds of dollars and I heard horror stories of everyone's lashes falling out. After reading up about a lash lift, I could not believe the results it gave for the price and I had to try it.
A last tint and lift is essentially a natural perm and dye of your lashes. As you can see in the photos below my natural lashes have barely any curve and actually grow downwards. Because of this I was a top candidate for a lift. Since I am a natural blonde my lashes are lighter in color and not black; I also chose to get my lashes tinted black so they would really pop.
I had this done through Anna Kuhn at Salon Lofts Polaris and can't recommend her enough! I was a little worried about sitting with my eyes closed while all of this was happening on my eye lid but the whole procedure was quick and totally painless and Anna talked me through each step.
I would say this procedure is for anyone that wants to see a dramatic lift in their natural eye lashes without having to worry about extensions or constantly curling your lashes and applying mascara. You'll wake up to gorgeous lashes that make your entire face look lifted, fuss free! The tint + lift lasts 6-8 weeks and costs around $60-$80 depending on if you get the tint as well. Anna is always running promotions so you'll pay a lot less than that!
I know a lot women that use a lash serum like Rodan & Fields and the last tint and lift pairs nicely with that because you already have such long lashes, there is more to curl!
Before on TOP, After on BOTTOM. No makeup in any of these pictures and please excuse my eye brows, they have not been plucked in weeks!

My lashses here are just as full, they are just wet because we had just wiped the tint off.
After applying the silicon pad to my eye lid, the lashes are brushed up on it and a natural perming solution is applied. This smelled nothing like the powerful chemicals that I used to perm my hair years ago. This has to be a natural solutions since it can get in the eye.
Then you wait about 10 minutes (feels like less time because she moves to the other eye) and a pink neutralizer goes on. After that it is a conditioner and then the black tint you see below.
All in the process took about 45 minutes and I was never uncomfortable or craving opening my eyes. It was pretty relaxing. I'll update you all again after about 6 weeks so see how thing held up.
Please let me know if you have any other questions on this! I am an open book and truly enjoy posting these honest reviews to break the stigma around these sorts of beauty treatments.
